In case you missed it, yesterday marked the anniversary of Charli XCX kicking off her Brat era—and it seems Queen Letizia of Spain was in on the vibe.

On Thursday afternoon, the Spanish royal visited the AECC (Spanish Association Against Cancer) in Madrid, where she wore a black ensemble that she brightened up with a pop of neon green—a signature Brat touch, even though it likely wasn’t intentional.

Letizia made the viral color her own, layering it with contrasting black staples like a long wool coat with wide lapels, straight-leg slacks, and a round-neck top. She paired the look with matching black accessories, including leather loafers and a Doma Insignia satchel from Carolina Herrera, one of her favorite bags.

But the real star of her outfit was the electric lime-green blazer from Hugo Boss. This pleated, statement-making piece peeked out from under her black layers and definitely caught attention, especially against the otherwise understated look. Her jewelry was minimal, consisting only of small diamond hoop earrings to complement the outfit.

Letizia had previously worn the blazer during a state visit to Denmark in November 2023. Royal fashion enthusiasts will recognize this bold piece, as she paired it with a similar look in February 2024 for a meeting in Madrid.

Some may call it a coincidence that the queen chose to rewear her Brat-green staple on this particular day. But still, one can’t help but wonder if "360" was playing as she made her entrance.
