The Jonas Brothers are feeling nostalgic as they reflect on their incredible 20-year journey, but a heartfelt message to their fans recently sparked concerns about a potential split.
The trio, known for their strong family bond, are gearing up for an exciting 2025, marking their 20th anniversary with some major plans. However, on Wednesday (Feb. 12), the group shared a lengthy post on social media, and its formal tone quickly led fans to fear that their 20th year might be their last.
“To our incredible fans, as a family, we’ve been reflecting a lot lately,” the post began. “It’s been 20 years since we started this journey together. It feels like just yesterday we were loading up our family mini-van with guitars and copies of It’s About Time CDs, heading to a local performance for anyone who would listen.”
They went on to reminisce, saying, “We were chasing our dream to play music and connect with others in a way only music can provide. We were teenagers then... actually, Nick wasn’t even old enough to get into a PG-13 movie.”
The opening lines of the post understandably caused some anxiety, with many of the top comments expressing concerns that the message might be a farewell to their fans. However, as the post continued, it became clear that the Jonas Brothers weren’t saying goodbye. Instead, they expressed deep gratitude for their fans’ unwavering support over the years.
“In the years that followed, you’ve given us a thousand lifetimes of incredible memories. We wake up every day filled with gratitude that you’ve been on this journey with us,” they shared. “We’ve celebrated wins, made mistakes, overcome obstacles, and grieved losses. Put simply: we’ve all grown up together.”
The message went on to thank their fans for showing up for them and inspiring them through their shared experiences, from concerts to chance encounters. “We treasure our connection with you as much today as we did when we played our first show,” they added.
Wrapping up their post, the band teased an exciting year ahead with new music, a live concert album, a soundtrack, and solo projects. “Nick returns to Broadway this spring for The Last Five Years,” they shared. “We are nearly finished with our holiday movie that we can’t wait for you to see this fall.”
Despite the band’s past split in 2013, when they announced their hiatus after eight years together, the Jonas Brothers made it clear that they are stronger than ever. They reunited in 2019, releasing new music, including Happiness Begins and The Album in 2023.
Teasing big announcements to come, the band encouraged fans to stay tuned. The group’s website currently features a countdown clock, set to conclude on Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14).
“From the bottom of our hearts: thank you!” they concluded. “Here’s to the next 20 years, and here’s to doing it together. The best is yet to come.”
