Chanel's Spring-Summer 2025 Makeup Collection, titled “ColourMatch,” invites us to explore two distinct looks: monochrome makeup and bold, daring color combinations. Developed by Ammy Drammeh in collaboration with the Chanel Makeup Creation Studio, this collection encourages us to choose between a harmonious, single-shade look or contrasting colors that bring energy to the face.
This collection is one of my favorites from the Comètes Collective, formed in 2023 by expert makeup artists, for a simple reason: it checks so many boxes. Drawing inspiration from Mademoiselle Chanel’s signature color blocking and twin sets, this range offers endless possibilities for the vibrant, fun looks we want to try this summer.
Monochrome Magic
Monochrome makeup, where one color is used from head to toe, is not only elegant but also highly versatile. Whether it's fashion or makeup, sticking to a single color creates a polished, coordinated look that's effortlessly stylish and saves time in your beauty routine. In this collection, the juicy pinks and peaches make it easy to try monochrome without feeling overwhelmed. A standout product is the new Rouge Coco Baume in Tender Peach, which offers a dewy shine and hydration—perfect for everyday wear. The matte beige eyeshadow and matching eyeliner are also ideal for a subtle but impactful look.
Color Combinations to Try
For those feeling more adventurous, this collection brings the joy of color combinations to the forefront. Inspired by the twin-set concept, where each Ombre Essentielle eyeshadow mono pairs with a complementary eye pencil, there’s plenty of room to experiment. The shimmering mint green eyeshadow and nail polish feel fresh and playful—perfect for adding a pop of color to your summer look. For a bolder choice, try the lilac-toned eyeshadow paired with deep purple kohl eyeliner.
