Millie Bobby Brown wasn’t just a bystander when Sabrina Carpenter staged a faux-arrest at a Short n’ Sweet Tour stop in October; it was actually the Stranger Things star’s idea, she revealed in a recent interview.

Months after a viral video showed the "Espresso" singer detaining Brown for being "too hot" during Carpenter’s Atlanta concert, the actress told Vanity Fair in a cover story published Wednesday (Feb. 12) that she had actually reached out to Carpenter before the show.

“Can you arrest me?” Brown had messaged Carpenter.

The Grammy-winning singer, who has also “arrested” Margaret Qualley and Saturday Night Live's Marcello Hernández at other Short n’ Sweet shows, was more than happy to oblige. “I would love to arrest you,” Carpenter responded, according to Brown.

Fast forward to the show, and Brown’s bright smile as Carpenter gave her a shout-out became one of the most memorable moments of the October 22 performance at State Farm Arena. “I’m really distracted right now because I see this gorgeous girl,” Carpenter said as Brown’s face appeared on the jumbotron. “It’s so unfortunate we have to arrest you because you’re so beautiful, that sucks.”

But the Short n’ Sweet tour wasn’t the only recent concert Brown’s been reminiscing about. The Florence by Mills founder also attended Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Cincinnati in 2023, which she described to VF as “amazing” and “unbelievable.”

Brown also now knows the live choreography to Swift’s “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” which she learned with her husband, Jake Bongiovi, son of Jon Bon Jovi. The couple married in May 2024, before having another ceremony in Tuscany four months later, which featured a six-minute Grease dance routine they choreographed themselves.

“We started with leather jackets and glasses, then took them off,” she recalled. “I was in my Sandy jumpsuit, and he was in this cool T-shirt, pants, and really shiny shoes.”
