Madonna fans are in for a special treat this Valentine’s Day: new music instead of chocolates or roses.

On Instagram Thursday (Feb. 13), just a day before Valentine’s Day, the pop icon shared a video slideshow from her time in the studio. The images show Madonna recording vocals into a microphone, sitting behind a drum set, and collaborating with producer Stuart Price. A few photos even feature her children visiting her while she’s at work.

“My Valentine’s Day gift to all my fans is to let you know I’m putting my heart and soul into my new music,” the seven-time Grammy winner wrote in her caption. “I can’t wait to share it with you!!”

Madonna also teased that her current project is a “Confessions Part 2,” a sequel to her 2005 album Confessions on a Dance Floor, which topped the Billboard 200. This update follows her announcement a couple of months ago that she’s reunited with Price, the producer behind the original Confessions album. “Songwriting and making music is the one area where I don’t need to ask anyone for their permission,” Madonna wrote at the time. “I’m so excited to share it with you. Who wants to hear new music in 2025?”

In December, Madonna shared a photo with Price on X and hinted at the possibility of Confessions on a Dancefloor Part 2.

While Madonna has been focused on her new music, the Queen of Pop is also exploring her comedic side in 2025. In January, she made a surprise appearance with Amy Schumer at the Comedy Cellar in New York City, where she performed her original material for an intimate audience.

Additionally, Madonna is working on a biopic about her life and career.
